From restoring ecosystems to rediscovering traditional foods and crafts, Roots of Wisdom helps guests understand the important issues facing indigenous communities, discover innovative ways native peoples are solving challenges, and strengthen the growing movement towards sustainability and the reclamation of age-old practices.

Closed until further Notice. Using rubber molds and Plaster of Paris, guests can copy one of three fossils featured in the main exhibit halls. Recommended for ages 3 and older. Museum staff assistance will be provided, and parental assistance is welcome.

Take your fossil home with you when it has been completed. Paleontologists will try their hand at uncovering fossil fish using an air scribe and techniques common to the art of fossil preparation. Recommended for ages 6 and older. The action will jump out and grab you in! The Mammoth Screen Theatre provides a wide selection of films, giving you an opportunity to ride with the dinosaurs, explore the depths of the earth in the ocean or above the earth in space, or visit natural landscapes near and far.

You'll want to come back again and again. Travel with us back in time to the Pleistocene Epoch when ice covered much of the earth and early man was in a battle with Mother Nature for survival.

Join us for our weekly storytelling adventure, Tales for Tots, held each Monday at am. Join our Museum of Ancient Life staff on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 1pm to watch these agile predators hunt for their lunch! Friendly staff will help answer questions so bring your best questions and imagination! Can you imagine how large a mask would be for a T-rex? Come learn about the science happening every day here at Thanksgiving Point!
