Hi, I want to uninstall older version of SEP from few Client machines and install the Updated Version, I have the command line to uninstall the same, but the Problem is that the older versions are password protected and it requires a password to uninstall, but i have the password with me, my only problem is i need to remotely uninstall all the SEP old version hence i need a command line with the given password with which i can silently uninstall SEP remotely without any issue Attila 12 years ago.

The worst part about the program is its need to eat up all the processor power on your computer. The program was password protected so that no sane human being could uninstall the crap! Also, you should try the default password of symantec or Symantec , with a capital S. Now find the msiexec. The picture above is actually from Process Explorer, not Task Manager, but it will have the same name there also.

Once you kill the process, the password prompt disappears and the uninstall continues!
